Eduardo Torres

Eduardo Torres was born in Camaguey, Cuba.  As a boy, he spent hours creating art using scraps of recycled paper from his aunt who was a secretary. He was attracted to the colors and energy of the Cuban culture, architecture and fabrics.  He translates these impressions with pen and ink into his colorful drawings.  A favorite element in the drawings is the pot.  The clay pot, called tinajon in Cuba, is a symbol of Camaguey, his birth city.  His original works evoke joy and a window into the colors and textures of Cuba.
